Adjective – एड्जेक्टिवे – विशेषण – जिस Part of speech में किसी गुण,(Quality)संख्या,(Number) दशा,Condotion आदि की विशेषता का बोध होता है वहां Adjective विशेषण होता है
Example – Beautiful, Two,Kind,Fine,Dangerous

Adjectives Of Quality – एड्जेक्टिवे ऑफ़ क्यालिटी – गुणवाचक विशेषण     – जिस Adjectives विशेषण  से Noun संज्ञा का बोध होता है वहां Adjectives Of Quality गुणवाचक विशेषण होता है
Example – A Handsome Boy
Example – A Healthy child
Adjectives of Quantity – एड्जेक्टिवे ऑफ़ क्‍वाटिंटी – परिणाम वाचक विशेषण – जिस Adjectives  में संख्या (Number)  का बोध होता है वहां Adjectives of Quantityपरिणाम वाचक विशेषण है
Example – How Much , How many, Two,Three
Adjectives of Demostrative – एड्जेक्टिवे ऑफ़ डेमोंसट्रेटिव-संकेत वाचक विशेषण – जिस Adjectives  में किसी व्यक्ति, वस्तु की और संकेत किया जाता है वहां Adjectives of Demostrative संकेत वाचक विशेषण होता है
 Example – This man,That,Cow,These Branches

Adjective:

Types of Adjectives:

  1. Descriptive Adjective (Qualitative Adjective):
    These adjectives describe the quality or characteristic of a noun.

    • Example: Beautiful, Tall, Smart, Old

    • Hindi Example: सुंदर (Sundar), लंबा (Lamba), बुद्धिमान (Buddhiman)

    • Example sentences:

      • She has a beautiful dress. (उसकी एक सुंदर ड्रेस है।)

      • He is a smart boy. (वह एक बुद्धिमान लड़का है।)

  2. Quantitative Adjective:
    These adjectives describe the quantity or amount of a noun.

    • Example: Some, Many, Few, All, Several

    • Hindi Example: कुछ (Kuch), कई (Kai), सभी (Sabhi), थोड़े (Thode)

    • Example sentences:

      • There are many people in the park. (पार्क में कई लोग हैं।)

      • I have few books. (मेरे पास थोड़ी किताबें हैं।)

  3. Demonstrative Adjective:
    These adjectives point out specific things or people.

    • Example: This, That, These, Those

    • Hindi Example: यह (Yeh), वह (Woh), ये (Ye), वे (Ve)

    • Example sentences:

      • This car is fast. (यह कार तेज है।)

      • Those shoes are expensive. (वो जूते महंगे हैं।)

  4. Possessive Adjective:
    These adjectives indicate possession or ownership.

    • Example: My, Your, His, Her, Our, Their

    • Hindi Example: मेरा (Mera), तुम्हारा (Tumhara), उसका (Uska), हमारा (Hamara)

    • Example sentences:

      • My house is big. (मेरा घर बड़ा है।)

      • Their dog is playful. (उनका कुत्ता खेलता है।)

  5. Interrogative Adjective:
    These adjectives are used to ask questions about a noun.

    • Example: Which, What, What kind of

    • Hindi Example: कौन सा (Kaun Sa), क्या (Kya)

    • Example sentences:

      • Which book do you like? (तुम्हें कौन सी किताब पसंद है?)

      • What color is your car? (तुम्हारी कार का कौन सा रंग है?)

  6. Indefinite Adjective:
    These adjectives describe nouns in a non-specific way.

    • Example: Any, Some, Several, All, Few

    • Hindi Example: कोई (Koi), कुछ (Kuch), कई (Kai)

    • Example sentences:

      • Some people came to the party. (कुछ लोग पार्टी में आए।)

      • All students are present. (सभी छात्र उपस्थित हैं।)

  7. Proper Adjective:
    These adjectives are derived from proper nouns and often describe the origin or identity of something or someone.

    • Example: Indian, American, Shakespearean

    • Hindi Example: भारतीय (Bhartiya), अमेरिकी (Ameriki)

    • Example sentences:

      • She is an Indian citizen. (वह एक भारतीय नागरिक है।)

      • I love Shakespearean plays. (मुझे शेक्सपियर नाटक पसंद हैं।)
